Title: My Parents' Extreme Tango Makeover
Duration: 9:17
Produced by: Yowei Shaw
Narrated by: Yowei Shaw
You can listen to this documentary if you want.

Brief Description
The documentary revolves around the story of the narrator's parents who showed that there is more to life then daily boring routines. The couple who moved to the US from Taiwan in the 70s, had lead a normal life until they went on a cruise to Latin America where they learnt to Tango, something which changed their lives. The narrator and her sister noticed that the artistic relationship that their parents now shared is more romantic, yet they developed a different type of fighting which revolved around Tango rather than everyday issues. The whole point of the documentary in my view, is that one's life can be brought back to life with something such as dancing Tango.

  • I think that the documentary was not that interesting for the whole 9 minutes, although the audio and the music were really good, I found the story itself not that interesting.
    Audio Quality
  • The audio quality and the nat sound in my opinion were very good; the sound was very clear and the narrator made a good use of the nat sound.
    The Narrator's Voice
  • The narrator's voice was of a good quality. She articulates clearly and her voice sounds that she herself is very interested in what she is saying, in addition to the tango music that was playing in the background sounds attractive.
    Writing Quality
  • The writing was organized and structured; the narrator introduces the points before they are being explained by the interviews sound or the music, so i think it was written in a structured way.
    Length of the Documentary
  • The documentary was 9 minutes and 17 seconds long, which in my opinion makes it a short documentary, but maybe because it was not interesting to me, I found it too long.
    The Story's beginning and end
  • The documentary began normal; it was not very strong. The narrator started with the beginning of her parent's story, which was not very attractive, but at the end it was a little bit emotional and that what made the ending strong.
    The Website
  • The website was very easy to navigate
    Suggestions

I think the narrator should have made the story more attractive than that. She should have included more emotions and visuals for how they dance throughout the whole documentary to keep the listeners alert and interested to hear the story.
