The Interview Transcription

This Interview is about the art of Hijaa' that was used by the Arabs to make fun and insult each other. This art was used for years until it reached Egypt in another form that was  similar to the French way of satire. Ahmad Fouad Negm is one of the famous people who still writes hijaa' poetry. After the Egyptian revolution of the 25th of Jan, this art was practiced by the famous Egyptian Satire presenter Bassem Youssef. Wait for the next interview when I have one of his writers talking about it.

Walking from the PVA to the Vending Machine Part 2

The AUC campus is full of different departments, which are more likely to be connected to each other, but the most isolated department is the PVA. The PVA area is the place where AUC students gather and share their artistic interest. While walking in the PVA you will hear people playing the guitar while others are talking. In the morning you will always find Amr standing in the kitchen and making tea to the professors before starting their lectures. When you go downstairs and walk to the Beirut food court, you will find many students standing in a long row to get their orders. While others are sitting, talking, laughing and enjoying the sun in their Assembly hour, there are some students who stand in front the Vending machine grabbing a can of coke.
