From Hijaa' to Satire

The Audio Documentary is 9 minutes and 12 seconds long. It is discussing the old art of criticism, which is called Hijaa’. It started in the Arabian Peninsula, where Arabs wrote it in poetry to make fun and criticize each other. This form has been in practice since the Pre-Islamic era until now in post-revolution Egypt, but of course with some changes. So, basically my documentary is presenting how hijaa’ transformed from it’s traditional form to the sarcastic show that is presented by the famous Egyptian Bassem Youssef.
